Surveyor scores property management contract wins

CHARTERED surveyor and auctioneer Bigwood has scored a hat trick of contract wins for its property management division in Solihull.

Among the Birmingham-based company’s new clients is Chadwick Manor, a Victorian country manor house in Knowle.

It was built for a member of the Pears soap family in 1875 and converted into 23 apartments in 1983.

Bigwood has also been appointed to manage Chancel Court, a 78-apartment development, in Solihull, and Kineton Grange in Olton, which is a development of 18 apartments in a conservation area.

Its Stratford-upon-Avon office has also been appointed to manage St Martins Gate, a residential development of 18 apartments and 5 houses in Coventry, and 19 apartments in Tiddington on the outskirts of the Warwickshire town.

Further recent wins include smaller properties in Warwick and Leamington Spa and from January 2011 Bigwood’s Stratford office will also be managing six apartments and four houses at Malthouse Court, in Warwick.

Director Stephen Prichard said: “2010 has been a good year for Bigwood’s property management division and our growing reputation in this market means that we are also coming up on the radar of several blue chip clients in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area.”

Managing director Rory Daly added: “Property management is often seen as the silent partner in our business but Bigwood has a growing practice in this area and this year’s successes are down to hard work and attention to detail by the team.”
