Yorkshire Business Masters 2011: Yorkshire Pride

THEBUSINESSDESK.com completes its profile of the categories in the Yorkshire Business Masters 2011 by detailing the Yorkshire Pride category.

The Yorkshire Pride category will recognise the most meaningful philanthropic initiative by a business, organisation or leader.

The category, won last year by Jonathan Wild, chief executive of tea and coffee maker Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate, is again sponsored by tourism agency Welcome to Yorkshire.

Mr Wild has been instrumental in developing a United Bank of Carbon in association with other organisations to help preserve rainforests.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Yorkshire Pride award.

“The Yorkshire Business Masters 2011 awards recognise the outstanding and we are always delighted to support the outstanding.”
