Consultancy secures place on £750m new housing framework

Independent planning consultant DPP Planning has secured a place on Great Places Housing Group’s new £750m Innovation Chain North framework.
The framework will help deliver more homes across the North of England.
DPP, which has offices in the North in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, will support Great Places’ development programme, but also those of other North of England housing associations.
Founded in 2012, and led by Great Places Housing Group, the Innovation Chain North (ICN) framework is designed to provide a route to the supply chain support for organisations looking to deliver mixed use housing and associated social infrastructure in the North.
Mark Lane, director and head of residential at DPP, said: “We are very proud to be part of this high-profile framework, which will have a significant role to play in delivering the volume of high quality housing required across the North of England.
“Housing associations across the northern regions have bold plans to create the necessary housing stock and we are keen to bring our experience and expertise in residential property planning to help them realise their ambitions.”
Helen Spencer, Great Places’ director of development, said: “We are delighted to be working with DPP on our new ICN framework.
“We are confident they will be able to work with us and the clients of ICN in delivering the sector’s extensive development ambitions in the North.
“We were delighted to have a huge response from the market and receive high quality proposals and substantial social value pledges for our communities.
“We are now looking forward to mobilising the framework and working together on new projects with DPP supporting us with its services.”
Joanne Whitehead, Great Places’ procurement and performance manager, said: “Well done to DPP and all the organisations who have been awarded a place on the framework.
“We received a large number of high-quality bids and we now have an excellent group of contractors and consultants covering a wide range of disciplines to support our housing delivery ambitions.
“Great Places and the other housing providers who access the framework look forward to working with them all in the future.”
