Yorkshire Tea sorts SIV’s sport and leisure venues out with a proper brew

SHEFFIELD CITY TRUST developmental arm SIV has agreed a deal with iconic brand Yorkshire Tea to supply its sporting leisure and entertainment venues with a nice hot beverage.
Ponds Forge, Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield City Hall, Scarborough Spa and Whitby Pavilion will all start serving tea from the Taylors of Harrogate brand.
Natalie Cross, out of home manager at Taylors of Harrogate, the producer of Yorkshire Tea, said: “After a round of golf, a couple of lengths in the pool at the local leisure centre or whilst watching a gig at the Motorpoint Arena, there’s nothing better than enjoying a brew.
“This partnership gives us an opportunity to get Yorkshire Tea into the hands of millions of people across our heartland; last year Ponds Forge alone welcomed around 1.4 million visitors. All venues are being equipped with a teapot-shaped A-board announcing that ‘Yorkshire Tea is served here’, providing an additional draw to customers.
“SIV is passionate about delivering a high quality experience to its visitors, therefore, a partnership with Yorkshire Tea is a match made in heaven.”
David Wagstaff, group food and beverages manager at SIV, said: “Being a Yorkshireman, I’m naturally a big fan of Yorkshire Tea – it tastes great and is unrivalled from a quality perspective. Since we started serving Yorkshire Tea at our 17 venues, we’ve received fantastic feedback from our members and visitors and we’re looking forward to what we hope will be a long partnership with Taylors of Harrogate.”
