Spice up your life with a Mexican street food opening

INDEPENDENT business The Street Food Chef is launching its third burrito bar.

“Fast casual” restaurants are all the rage and street food entrepreneurs Abi and Richard Golland are taking full advantage of the trend.

Their third site will be opening up on Glossop Road in Sheffield.

The new site will offer a range of burritos, tacos and quesadillas, all of which are made in front of the customer.

Abi and Richard’s first venture was launched as a pop-up restaurant in 2010.

“Our aim has always been to run 4 or 5 shops in Sheffield,” says Richard Golland, Managing Director, “we want to build a strong business model with a recognisable brand before we start to look outside the city. Our strategy has been to open small shops in areas where people work or study, offering a great lunch and pre-evening meal. Nationally, there has been an increase in demand for freshly made and served quickly meals, this need has been met by the Street Food revolution and also the rise in Fast Casual Restaurant chains such as Leon and Chipotle.”
