Leisure group invests in £1.3m park upgrade

Newly acquired holiday home company Park Leisure is investing £1.3m in a new development at its Yorkshire Dales park.

The Hawkswick development will see seven new lodges built. Three of the seven have already been sold.

This comes just weeks after a £103m deal which saw Park Leisure’s management team team up with Midlothian Capital Partners to acquire the business from its founder.

The business has 10 sites across the UK in country and coastal locations.

Yorkshire Dales general manager Mike Clappison said: “The new lodges will be a great and vital asset to our Park as it continues to grow and welcome new customers.

“As well as the site’s various family facilities including a children’s playground, Yorkshire Dales is a gateway to some of the best country walking trails, bridle paths and cycling routes in the UK and we’re at the very heart of that.”
