Miliband to speak to business leaders

LABOUR Party Leader Ed Miliband is to speak at two Yorkshire business dinners.

The Doncaster North MP has been confirmed as the main speaker at the ABDN annual dinner and business awards next month.

He will also be giving a speech to the Yorkshire and Humber CBI annual dinner in the autumn.

Mr Miliband will be joined at the CBI event by CBI director-general John Cridland who will be addressing Yorkshire and Humber members for the first time since taking over the top job from Sir Richard Lambert.

Mr Cridland will use the event to set out his vision for how the CBI should be a ‘voice for business’.

The CBI Yorkshire and Humber annual dinner will take place on Wednesday, October 5, at the University of Leeds.

The ABDN annual dinner and awards take place at the Royal Armouries on March 31.
