Media Buzz: Hire for Source; Malton Foods appoints Clearsilver; and more

LEEDS-based PR consultancy Source Marketing Communications has recruited Leeds Metropolitan University graduate Laura Blanco-Medina to work across a range of growing and new accounts.

She joins the team with a degree in PR and marketing and experience from Leeds agencies Brahm and Beattie Communications, together with in-house work at the Jane’s Appeal charity.

Director Peter Downey said: “We have been planning to appoint someone for some time to help support the growth of current clients and assist in new business development and Laura was perfect for this role.”

Malton Foods ClearsilverCONVENIENCE food producer Malton Foods, trading as Westlers, has hired Leeds-based brand communications agency Clearsilver to manage brand communications in its food service and retail sectors.

Westlers was established in 1960 and is best known for supplying hotdogs to the leisure and entertainment industry. The company has built a growing reputation within the retail market and supplies a range of  brands within the canned food category, including Tyne, Chesswood, and Westlers.

Following a review of its PR profile and increased investment in marketing activity, Westlers is looking to increase its dialogue with customers.

IceONLINE and brand marketing agency ICE Innovation is track for success after winning three accounts.

The company has won key contracts with a European insurance firm, a Barristers Chambers and a telecoms specialist.

The ten-strong team at Chapel Allerton-based ICE look set to announce a £500,000 turnover in their second year of trading, a 97% increase on the last financial year.

TEBAYS, the Leeds based web, print and events agency, has secured a number of new client wins.

It is in the process of redesigning and rebuilding the website for The Sports Turf Research Institute, based in Bingley.

Other recent successes include  a contract with FIAT to create a members only website for owners of the Abarth brand, aimed at delivering lifestyle focused content to their clients, covering travel, culture, technology and automotive news.

A new intranet has also been designed, allowing their dealerships to access up to date product information and incentives, streamlining existing processes.

Tebays has also been successful in developing a complete lead management system for Maserati, allowing them to improve customer conversions and to accurately track their sales campaigns.
