Former baptist church comes to market

A FORMER baptist church  is up for sale with offers invited in excess of £100,000.

The premises, formerly the Charlestown Baptist Church in Baildon, near Bradford, extend to more than 1,000 sq ft and comprise the former worship hall and ancillary accommodation on the site.

The property is being sold on behalf of the Yorkshire Baptists Association by the Bradford office of chartered surveyors Eddisons which believe the site is suitable for a variety of different uses subject to the buyer obtaining the necessary planning consents.

Jonathan O’Connor, of Eddisons, said: “The property could suit a number of potential uses including residential, studio style offices or community.

“It is very rare that a property of this nature comes to market, particularly in such a desirable area. I anticipate plenty of interest from buyers who can see the tremendous potential.”

Eddisons works closely with the Yorkshire Baptists Association, who acts as trustee for the area’s Baptist Churches, on a range of property related issues.
