US snack food firm awards contract to CPS

CLYDE Process Solutions (CPS), the global provider of pneumatic conveying and air filtration solutions, has won a £1.7m contract with a leading global supplier of cereals, snacks and processed foods.

Doncaster-based CPS will supply this customer with an ingredient handling system at one of their largest production facilities located in the north central region of the US.

CPS will utilise its pneumatic conveying technology to handle all the ingredients used in the manufacture of their new cereal product.

Alex Stewart, chief executive of CPS, said: “We are delighted to have secured one of our largest orders in the food industry in this financial year.

“Our global subsidiaries continue to focus on building our order book by converting the significant sales pipeline of opportunities we have generated across many of our key customer markets.”

He added that the contract has been secured in line with management expectations and strengthened CPS’s presence within the US food market.

“We are hopeful that our relationship with this customer will lead to additional orders in the future,” said Mr Stewart.

Last month CPS announced further international wins worth £1.9m from two separate Asian steel producers.
