New director at Savills

SAVILLS has appointed Ian Gibson as a director to join its expanding land and property team in Leeds.

Mr Gibson has experience in both commercial and residential valuations.

Previously a director and national head of valuation with Storeys:ssp in Leeds for the past two years, Mr Gibson's background also includes a spell as a director with Sanderson Weatherall and five years with DTZ in Leeds where he specialised in residential valuations and agency within the public and private sector.

Matthew Jones, head of Savills' land and property office in Leeds, said: “We are fortunate to be able to appoint someone of Ian's calibre and experience. His sound knowledge of northern commercial and residential markets and the national investment and student market will make him a valuable asset to our team. He will focus primarily on mixed-use schemes and in providing strategic advice along with secured lending and agency advice.”

Mark Wilson has also joined the Savills team from Storeys:ssp alongside Mr Gibson.
