Contractor tipped for Yorkshire Post site PRS development

Residential property business Grainger is reportedly in negotiations with a contractor to start work on the private rented sector development at the former Yorkshire Post site in Leeds.

ISG has been tipped as the contractor to move forward with the city centre residential site on Wellington Street, according to Construction Enquirer.

In February Grainger got the green light for reserved matters planning from the council to develop the 11 to 18-storey site with 242 planned apartments.

Ground floor commercial units, residential lounge spaces are also included in the first phase of the mixed-use development, and a further three blocks for office and residential totalling 360,000 sq ft also received planning consent.

Architect The Harris Partnership designed the building on behalf of land owner Sterling Investments, and work on their designs is set to start in the summer.
