Vet group to create region’s largest animal hospital after completing major out of town deal

Calder Vets is to create the region’s largest animal hospital after signing a major out of town office deal for an 18,000 sq ft property.

The group, represented by Savills, has secured Origin Point at Paragon Business Village in Wakefield in Yorkshire’s largest out of town office leasing deal of 2017 to date.

The unit will house state of the art operating and diagnostic facilities as well as office space.

The veterinary care provider agreed a new 15-year lease for the property, which is owned by Yorkcourt Paragon.

The business village offers a range of high specification office accommodation, with occupiers including Nationwide Building Society, Chadwick Lawrence and Redhall Group.

Paul Fairhurst, head of Savills Leeds, said: “We are very pleased to have supported the ongoing growth of Calder Vets with the acquisition of Origin Point. Paragon Business Village ticks all the boxes in terms of location and amenities, making it the ideal choice for our client.”

Yorkcourt Paragon was represented by Knight Frank, Colliers International and Harvey Burns and Co.
