Access all areas as Twisted Automotive opens its doors

This weekend sees the third annual summer open day at Twisted Automotive.
The Land Rover® Defender® specialist and global vehicle exporter will open its doors to its showroom, forecourt and workshop.
Taking place from 10am until 4pm tomorrow (Saturday September 2), the open day will offer Twisted fans and local families the opportunity to gain an insight into operations behind closed doors at the business’s headquarters on the Thirsk Industrial Park.
This week, the team have been busy working on the final touches to ensure that the workshop, forecourt, and the all important vehicles are looking their best.
For families not only is there food, drinks, and entertainment all lined up, but also an opportunity for young people wishing to pursue a career in the automotive industry to learn more about what it’s like to work in a busy, highly-skilled environment.
The new Classic Twisted recently unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed will be on show this weekend to give fans closer to home a chance to check out and explore the new range. Other vehicles to look out for this year include a Bahama Gold 110, which belongs to extreme adventurer and Twisted Automotive ambassador Sean Conway, alongside social media favourites, ‘the Monaco twins’.
Many of the company’s 23-strong team will be available to answer questions, give tours, and generally help visitors get the most out of their day, including the opportunity to chat to Twisted engineers about their current builds.
Twisted Automotive managing director, Charles Fawcett, said: “We export our vehicles to places like the USA, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand, but we are proud of our identity as a Yorkshire business, and to be a part of the Thirsk community.
“It’s been another busy 12 months for the business, including the launch of our new Classic Twisted range, the appointment of Sean as our latest ‘Anti Ordinary’ ambassador and the announcement of a new three-year sponsorship deal with Gumball 3000.
“We’ve also grown our staff significantly to underpin our recent progress, and we are excited to meet new people from around the region, while renewing acquaintances with old friends.”
