Hour-long delays due to serious incident

The M18 southbound link road from the M18 to the M1 northbound is closed due to a serious incident.

There are currently delays of 60 minutes for M18 southbound traffic between J2 and the M1. South Yorkshire Police is in attendance.

M18 southbound traffic looking to join the M1 northbound are to continue on to the M1 southbound carriageway and proceed to J31 and turn around to re-join the M1 northbound carriageway.

The Highways Agency has said that drivers should consider alternative routes and allow extra time for journeys.
