Friends of Ham, a popular charcuterie and bar with venues in Leeds and Ilkley, has been placed in administration.

A notice for the business, which is a licensed bar and restaurant, has been published on The Gazette this morning; stating that the firm was placed in administration earlier this month.

It comes only four months after the group closed its Ham and Friends site in Leeds. Wine bar Ham and Friends, on Merrion Street, closed after less than a year.

Friends of Ham opened on New Station Street in Leeds in 2012. It started as a ground floor bar with a large ‘hidden; basement and expanded two years later into the unit next door. It served beer, wine charcuterie and cheese.

Its Ilkley site, on Wells Promenade, opened in August 2015.  The business aimed to bring high quality food and drink in a relaxed, friendly and informal setting.

The administrators have been approached for comment.
