Bathroom retailer to expand workforce and open ten new sites

A bathroom retailer has unveiled plans to open 10 new showroom in this year after expanding to 28 sites across the UK in 2018.

Easy Bathrooms, established in 2012, increased its workforce by 60% to 161 employees and opened 11 new showrooms last year.

The retailer now has plans to open 10 addition stores across the UK, including locations across Hayes, Swindon, Milton Keynes and Cheltenham. These expansion plans will result in the creation of 45 jobs.

At its Leeds headquarters, Easy Bathrooms has already taken on four new team members since the start of December. Leanne Wetherill has joined as ecommerce assistant; Louise Gallagher has taken up post as credit controller; Chris Pall – formerly of Haus Direct – joins as graphic designer; and Darren Waddington has come on board as warehouse manager.

The retailer is also preparing to launch a new ecommerce website later this year.

Lauren Fealy, operations manager of Easy Bathrooms, said: “We have our sights firmly set on our future – we’re excited for what that holds. We’re a dynamic company, we’re always growing and evolving.”

In 2018, the firm added an extra 380 products to its range of bathrooms and tiles.

Fealy added: “It’s important to us that we increase consumer choice and keep our finger on the pulse when it comes to trends. We also work with tradespeople and developers – and the housing market is looking positive, despite Brexit, so we’ll continue to improve our service offering to those clients too.”
