After joining the National Capital Markets team at Colliers late last year and then being unveiled as head of the firm’s Leeds office earlier this month, Ben Hall now has yet another new role to get to grips with as he prepares to compere Crypt Factor 2019.

Hall has previously performed in the annual singing competition, which is firmly established as Leeds’s most successful charity event, when he sang Budapest by George Ezra in 2015. He will take up the baton from previous compere Alex Duckett, who has decided to step down.

The show’s organising committee and main sponsors, comprising of Bruntwood, Gent Visick and Pinsent Masons, have now confirmed an exceptional line-up of singers, who all work for leading companies operating within the region’s property sector.

This year’s event takes place on Thursday 21 March 2019 at Elland Road and it is on target to attract an 850-strong audience, with just a handful of tables still available to reserve.

Over the last 12 years, Crypt Factor has raised well-over £640,000 for charity, and the proceeds from March’s event will again be shared equally between St George’s Crypt and The Leeds Fund, which is managed by Leeds Community Foundation.

TheBusinessDesk.com is the event’s official media partner and the event’s stage set-up, lighting and sound will all be provided by Sparq, which is a division of Saville Group. Additional support is provided by Candid PR and Anderson Advertising & Property Marketing.

Hall said: “It’s certainly been an exciting few months and compering Crypt Factor is going to be the icing on the cake. I’ve always been a big fan of the event and after singing in 2015, I have a huge amount of respect for everyone taking part and can fully appreciate what it takes to stand up and perform in front of so many people.

“However, the key thing is the staggering amount of money the event raises every year for two very deserving charities, so I’m delighted to be involved and we’re all really looking forward to putting on a fantastic show and making it a night to remember.”

Garry Howes, from Gent Visick, said: “Alex Duckett did a fantastic job compering Crypt Factor for many years and will be a hard act to follow. After he decided to pass the baton on, Ben was an obvious choice to replace him and we were delighted when he agreed to compere our 2019 event. He’s also performed previously, meaning he can put himself in the singer’s shoes.  We’re really pleased to have him on board.

“Yet again we are genuinely overwhelmed by the level of support that the region’s property industry is giving us. We’ve got a great line up of acts for this year and more than 70 per cent of tables sold within a couple of days of going on sale. The last few tables won’t be available for long, so anyone considering taking one should contact us now to avoid disappointment.”

Anyone wanting further information about Crypt Factor, or to reserve a table, should contact emma.laverty@bruntwood.co.uk or follow the event on twitter @cryptfactor.
