Weekender: Hull pub relaunches following £300,000 revamp

A historic pub in Hull has reopened following a £300,000 refurbishment programme, which has created 11 jobs.
Located on Beverley Road, The Haworth pub now features a brand new bar, new furniture, retro game consoles and new HDTV screens.
The Haworth, formally known as the Haworth Arms, is open from breakfast until late, with a brand new menu featuring street food influences from vegan plant-based options to burgers and slow-cooked meats.
The pub also offers a selection of craft beers and cask ales, such as Beavertown, as well as a range of spirits, smoothies and frappés.
The pub’s weekly programme now includes a combination of entertainment and food and drink offers. Pancake Tuesdays and Wing Wednesdays offer pancakes or wings at 25p each; Thursdays are host to Speed Quizzing and Fridays always have a DJ on.
Bish’s Sunday Service also features games with the resident DJ.
Elaine Gibson, general manager, said: “We are incredibly excited to relaunch our pub to the people of Hull.
“Not only is the new look amazing but our new menu offers a great range of food and drink. We look forward to welcoming everyone in throughout 2019.”
