Work begins on £10.75m residential scheme

Work has now commenced on a £10.75m residential development in Almondbury, Huddersfield.

The scheme, known as Rosemeade, will comprise 39 three-and four-bedroom homes.

Led by Leeds-based property developer Erris Homes, Rosemeade sits in a semi-rural location, less than two miles from Huddersfield town centre.

Scott Leather, technical and commercial director at Erris Homes, said: “The Rosemeade development is a significant stage in our journey to becoming Yorkshire’s leading independent house builder. Our previous schemes in Barnsley and North Sheffield have proved extremely successful; however, this is our most ambitious project to date.

“We have assembled a strong team of excellent sub-contractors and skilled local craftsmen who, along with our own construction team, will ensure we deliver a quality product which meets the demands of modern living.”

The first homes are expected to be ready this summer with completion scheduled for the middle of 2020.

“We are confident the scheme will provide a real boost to the area and create employment opportunities for local people. We are also planning to actively engage with schools and community groups throughout the duration of the project.”
