Major university contract for office design business
An office refurbishment company awarded a three-year contact by University of Hull will be designing and fitting-out the university’s new Energy and Environment Centre.
Chameleon Business Interiors, also based in Hull, has been appointed by the university to work on all aspects of the design process, to provide a modern, functional interior.
The university wants to provide an innovative, modern, open-plan workspace in its Chemical Engineering Building.
Chameleon Buiness Interiors said sustainability will be a key element in the project, with 100% recyclable carpets sourced from carbon neutral business – Interface, alongside eco-friendly fabrics from Yorkshire-based Camira Fabrics.
Plants will be a focal point within the design, to help purify the air within the centre. The scheme is scheduled to be completed by the end of September this year.
First established in 2016, the university’s Energy and Environment Institute gathers scientists to conduct valuable research into problems surrounding climate change, and its potentially devastating consequences.

Chameleon Business Interiors has completed commercial office designs, office fit outs and refurbishment projects across the UK since the company was founded in 1998. Chameleon has also expanded to overseas, setting up an office in Toronto, Canada.
