Hundreds attend tennis themed gathering at historic Yorkshire venue

Berry’s Tennis Classic at The Hazlewood Castle returned for its second consecutive year, enjoying further success and attracting hundreds of guests.

Clique Events had promised three unforgettable days of tennis, networking and a bigger than ever garden party at the venue.

The event, held at the sumptuous Hazlewood Castle outside Leeds, was sold out across all three days, with over 1,000 people turning out across the tournament.

Guests sipped champagne as four of the world’s most successful tennis legends took to the courts and entertained the crowd.

The list read like a Who’s Who of tennis stars from over the years, with names including the unstoppable Richard Krajicek, Belgium former No1 ‘X’ Man, Xavier Malisse, South Africa-born Wayne Ferreira and Moroccan legend Younes Al Eynaoui.

Title sponsor Berry’s Jewellers was re-joined by associate sponsors St James’ Place Wealth Management, Alexander’s Prestige Harrogate, Blankstone Opticians, Sedulo, Impulse Decision and Westons Cider.

TheBusinessDesk.com was a media partner for the event.

The tournament, held from June 26-28, raised more than £10,000 for the Matt Haycox Foundation – a children’s charity which aims to provide financial support for seriously and terminally ill children and their families.

Clique Events owner, Matt Haycox, said: “We are so pleased with this year’s Berry’s Tennis Classic at Hazlewood Castle. We got some fantastic names taking part, and we had incredible feedback from our guests and our sponsors.

“I would like to thank again all of our guests and our amazing sponsors for making this year’s tennis possible. There’s so much to look forward to next year.”
