Fit-out for latest phase of Sheffield Digital Industries quarter completes

Sheffield commercial interior design and fit-out specialist Ovo Spaces has completed work on a major office development in the city.

Acero is the latest phase of Sheffield’s Digital Campus at Concourse Way, between Sheffield Hallam University and the city’s train station, offering clients a combination of large and flexible floor spaces.

The team at Ovo Spaces were brought on board to create a reception area and develop a multi functional space – including co working space, waiting area, private working and informal meeting space – that would attract new commercial tenants.

“This was an exciting brief for us in a development that is right at the heart of Sheffield’s exciting and innovative Digital Campus,” said Ovo Spaces creative design manager Sophie Kendall.

“The clients wanted an approach that would live up to the needs of a building that prides itself on energy efficiency, prominence and prestige.

“We achieved this in many different ways, including the use of furniture that can be utilised for multiple use in waiting area, informal meeting space, private working and co-working.

“We also created lockers and changing rooms ideal for the sort of client Acero aims to attract and came up with exciting new signage to enhance access to all areas of the building.”

Based at Sheffield’s historic Victoria Quays, Ovo Spaces’ recent clients include Metalysis, Wake Smith Solicitors, Handlesbanken, BOC, Saint-Gobain, Greencore Foods, KPMG, TRIB3 and development of the Park Hill Commercial Units in Sheffield.
