Business signs lease for 6,339 sq ft space at flagship city centre development

Savills Leeds has announced plans to relocate in November to 3 Wellington Place.
This is the latest building to be completed at the development, with all 65 staff moving from Savills Leeds’ existing office at City Point on Park Place.
The international real estate advisor has agreed a 10-year lease on 6,339 sq ft (589 sq m) of space on the ground floor of 3 Wellington Place. The building, completed last summer, is BREEAM Excellent Rated, and is home to facilities such as a rooftop terrace, a bike maintenance station and electric vehicle charging point.
Savills will join existing occupiers at Wellington Place including Mazars, Investec, Shulmans and Irwin Mitchell Solicitors.
Paul Fairhurst, Head of Savills Leeds, said: “We have grown from the founding two members to become a team of 65 over the last 15 years. The office now provides a complete full service offering, working on many of the region’s key schemes.
“These include Wellington Place itself, York Central and the recent sale of Pinnacle in the city centre. We are excited to move into our new offices at Wellington Place. The scheme boast some of the city’s most attractive public realm, including the recently completed ‘Tower Square’. The move will provide a real boost to our staff.”
Paul Pavia, Head of Development at the landlord MEPC, added: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Savills to the Wellington Place community. We’ve worked very closely with them over the past year as one of our trusted letting agents, and we’re looking forward to continuing the relationship with them now as our customers.
“This marks a major achievement for the development. The fact that experts in the property sector are choosing Wellington Place as their home is a testament to the grade A quality office space we provide and the community we’ve created.”
Commercial real estate firm JLL represented MEPC for the lease agreement.
