Listed firm’s property director to share insight into changing landscape across the North

The Property Director at Leeds-headquartered Town Centre Securities (TCS) is to reflect on the changing property landscape across the North in recent years at an upcoming Property Lunch.

Join TheBusinessDesk.com’s Property Lunch on Thursday October 31 to hear from Lynda Shillaw – the recently appointed group property director. She joined the £400m specialist regional property REIT last year.

TCS manages largescale property projects and has had to adapt to the changing retail landscape to ensure long-term profitability through its stock.

As a major investor in the Leeds and Manchester property marketplaces, the firm’s recent acquisitions include a high yielding mixed-use property in Leeds – The Cube – for £12m. It is also behind a apart-hotel scheme on George Street in the city.

At the lunch, sponsored by Bevan Brittan, Shillaw will  share updates on major schemes and investment programmes in Leeds and talk about what she enjoys about working in the industry.

Shillaw has an extensive background in the property sector having previously managed large corporate estates for BT, the Co-operative Group, and Manchester Airports Group. She ran the Real Estate Banking Division at Lloyds Banking Group and the £9bn Real Estate Fund Management Business at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

She has a proven track record of developing and implementing strategy to both operate and leverage value from large, diverse portfolios.

At MAG, Lynda managed £650m of investment assets, all development land and MAG’s interest in the 3.5m sq. ft. Airport City Manchester Joint Venture.

Shillaw is also a non-executive director of the Crown Estate and VIVID Housing Association. She is also chair of the LandAid Charity’s North West Region.

This Property Lunch promises to be informative, giving delegates the chance to hear from one of the newest senior property leaders in the Leeds City Region. The lunch event, to be held at Bibis in Leeds, includes a two-course lunch and welcome drink. Tickets are priced at £45+VAT and can be bought online.
