Developer hails interest in five-acre residential scheme

A new build housing development which launched in a village outside Harrogate at the end of August has seen 40% of the homes available reserved within the first three weeks.

West House Gardens is being built by Newby in Birstwith in the Nidderdale Valley. The five-acre site will include 33 three, four and five-bedroom homes, with prices varying from £350,000 to £1.3 m.

All of the family homes benefit from private parking and gardens. First completions will take place in autumn 2019.

Anthony Mackle, Sales and Marketing Director at Newby, said: “Our launch event gave us the opportunity to reveal site plans, the show home and property layouts and specifications for the first time.

“We very much expected the site to be popular as it’s in a prime location and idyllic setting and offering family accommodation of an extremely high quality, but it was fantastic to have such a busy first weekend.

“We’re delighted such a high proportion of the properties have already been reserved and we have no doubt that will continue over the coming weeks.”
