Major haulage firm attracted to business park
A deal has been completed to bring European haulage firm, McGregor Logistics, to the St Modwen Park Doncaster site.
Occupying a 40,000 sq ft unit on a three-year lease, the haulage and logistics services firm will make St Modwen Park Doncaster one of its distribution hubs in the UK, creating 30 jobs in the local area.
The transaction follows the news of multinational utility firm National Grid, which renewed its lease on an 81,000 sq ft unit on the site, committing to a further five years. Both units are part of the original development which St Modwen retained when it acquired the scheme in 2010.
The 27-acre industrial and logistics scheme, which has been expanded to include additional industrial and logistics units, is also home to global technology giant Bosch, logistics giant DB Schenker and high-end engineering firm, Thornhill Engineering.

Keith Law, managing director at McGregor Logistics, added: “It was important for us to find a new base that could cater to our business needs as we continue to expand our presence in the UK and European logistics sector.
“With strategic access to the M18 and A1, as well as links to the Hull seaports, moving to St Modwen Park Doncaster was a no-brainer.”

Two similar units – with a floorspace of 55,000 sq ft and 65,000 sq ft – are available to let at St Modwen Park Doncaster and will soon be refurbished.
These units also form part of the original development and are located near to National Grid and McGregor Logistics’s sites.
St Modwen has also recently completed three new units of 21,614 sq ft, 34,464 sq ft and 53,072 sq ft, which are available to lease, and are in addition to the new units that are now occupied by DB Schenker, Rober Bosch and Thornhill Engineering.
