Logistics specialist working to plug supply chain gaps

Leeds-based business Clipper Logistics says it is providing extra support to help companies weather the virus crisis.

It has now provided nearly 500,000 sq ft of warehousing space, plus associated handling and transportation, to help eight separate customers’ additional requirements during the current pandemic.

Clipper says it is providing logistics support to both new and existing customers, with 50% of this additional support being for new clients.

A spokesman for the listed business said: “Clipper has mobilised its space, people and vehicles to provide a variety of support services.

“This includes providing inbound processing and storage relief, undertaking warehousing and picking for 70 regional stores of a national grocery retailer, supporting local communities.

“Clipper also confirms it has developed solutions to fulfil supply chains for other sectors including educational equipment and health foods as well as further developing its relationship with government agencies.”

Steve Parkin, executive chairman, said: “I would like to thank all members of the Clipper team for their continued innovation, dedication and hard work to enable us to rapidly deploy solutions and fulfil gaps in the supply chain for both new and existing customers in a quickly changing environment.”
