More firms hired for massive home building framework

A £750m framework to support the delivery of new homes for northern England has awarded places to two more Yorkshire-based companies – construction consultancy MAC and Caddick Construction.

The new four-year Innovation Chain North framework has been developed by Great Places Housing Group.

“Having a significant presence across the north, with offices in Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield, we are looking forward to working with Great Places’ to support the delivery of much needed homes across the North of England.”

Adrian Dobson, Caddick Construction’s managing director, said: “With a business focus that embraces the beds and sheds market, being appointed onto the ICN framework is another string in our bow.

“We will continue to use our extensive experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, design and build and construction project delivery, working closely with the Great Places Housing Group and their partners, to deliver high quality social housing, regenerate local communities and deliver social value across the north of England.”

Helen Spencer, Great Places’ Director of Development, said she and colleagues are delighted to be working with both Caddick Construction and MAC Construction Consultants.

She added: “We were delighted to have a huge response from the market and receive high quality proposals and substantial social value pledges for our communities.
