Companies relocate to historic country estate

The Escrick Park Estate between York and Selby, has welcomed two new occupiers.

Two North Yorkshire companies have recently relocated to the historic estate, which brings the total number of jobs created there to 130.

Escrick Park has been owned and managed by the Forbes Adam family for the past 350 years.

Seven redundant farmsteads on the park, east of the A19, have undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, providing a boost to the local economy.

The latest occupiers on the estate are music and audio producers Innersound Audio Recording Studio and signs and graphic installation firm Retail Install.

Joe Graves of Innersound, which has moved to Escrick Park from Acaster Malbis, said: “We are professional music and audio producers who specialise in rock music in a world-class facility.

“We have produced albums for countless local Yorkshire bands as well as for well-established artists on huge record labels such as Sony, Frontiers, Century Media, Sumerian and much more.

“As well as music, we are capable of producing all kinds of audio productions including sound for games, TV, film, radio adverts and everything in between.

“We have converted the Old Granary barn on the estate into our purpose-designed studio, which we have always dreamed about.

“The Escrick Estate team were generous enough to allow us to make the changes necessary to set up our dream studio and have been very helpful.”

Meanwhile, Retail Install has taken nearly 1,000 sq ft of space at the Holmes in Skipwith.

In the wake of these deals the estate is almost full, but there is available office space to rent at 2 Bramleys Barn and 6 Bramleys Barn of 2,000 sq ft and 2,400 sq ft for respectively.

Other occupiers on the estate include: Joy’s Bella Bridesmaids; 100% Proof Marketing; CGA Accountants; JMark Construction; and JMDA Interior Designers.
