Interiors business chosen for 20,000 sq ft office fit out project

The Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (LTHT) has acquired 20,000 sq ft set over two floors at 2 Park Lane in Leeds, to support staff working on its Building the Leeds Way programme.

The programme involves building new adult and children’s hospitals on the Leeds General Infirmary site.

Absolute Commercial Interiors Ltd has been chosen as the trust’s design and build partner, to transform the new premises into a multifunctional and contemporary workspace that will complement the programme.

Absolute Commercial Interiors is a nationwide commercial interiors contractor, which has strong roots in Yorkshire.

Amy Revell, sales director at Absolute Commercial Interiors, said: “We are so pleased and honoured to be working with LTHT on such an important and strategic project.

“The Building the Leeds Way Programme aims to transform healthcare for patients in Leeds and the wider region, so for us to be just a small part of this transformational project fills our team with great joy.

“We have worked closely with various stakeholders within the trust to create a space that allows everyone to work collaboratively and effectively, whilst integrating simple technology and AV equipment to enhance their overall operation.

“We are an incredibly passionate team, it’s not just a fit out for us, we value the lasting benefits well designed spaces create, which is why this project is so special to us.”

Within the new premises, the LTHT requires an open-plan workspace with capacity for 250 staff.

Absolute Commercial Interiors has designed the space to include meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and informal breakout areas.

The fit out is taking place over a 12-week period, and the Absolute team has already begun work.
