Major retailer snaps up speculatively built warehouse

Acting on behalf of CBRE Global Investors, the Industrial team at CBRE in Leeds and joint agents Carter Towler, have secured the letting of a new, speculatively built warehouse to a major retailer at 62 Leeds Industrial Estate.

The retailer has agreed a deal on Unit 6. This is a detached 57,500 sq ft premium warehouse on Gelderd Road (A62), one of the main arterial routes into Leeds and the retailer has agreed a 15-year lease at the site.

The warehouse/industrial facility benefits from two-storey office accommodation, a secure service yard and 50 car parking spaces.

Mike Baugh, senior director, CBRE’s Leeds Industrial team, said: “We are pleased to complete the deal at Leeds 62.

“This scheme is situated in a highly popular industrial area with immediate access to the city centre and excellent links to the wider national motorway network.

“We now only have one unit of 20,000 sq ft remaining on the scheme. This latest letting demonstrates the continued demand for warehouse space of this quality and location within the immediate surrounding area of Leeds.”
