Food festival to return this month after missing out in 2020

The Great British Food Festival is back this year in the grounds of Harewood House, near Leeds.

After missing 2020 because of the pandemic, the organisers say the occasion will finally be going ahead this late May Bank Holiday – 29-31 May.

Dan Maycock, who is on the organising team, said: “We are so looking forward to welcoming the public to our food festivals again.

“We had no events last year and it feels a long time coming, but we now can’t wait to open the doors again over the Bank Holiday weekend in Yorkshire.

“We are running advance tickets only with time slot entry to help avoid queues. We have a one-way system around the artisan producers, hand sanitiser stations throughout the site and lots of space for socially distancing – basically it’s a fun, safe foodie day out.”

The line-up includes over 100 top local and national producers, tasty street food, chef demos, a BBQ stage, live music, and a new ‘Grow your own’ Stage, as well as a variety of family entertainment.
