City centre growth plans for Sanipump Services

A RECENTLY launched maintenance engineering business is aiming to capitalise on the Yorkshire city centre property market and has warned landlords that they are wasting money because of a lack of understanding about their facilities.

Sanipump Services repairs and maintain Saniflo units which provide the facility to plumb in toilets and other ‘wet’ facilities where there is no direct sewer access

Established by Rob Summers, alongside Simon Dunigan and John Carter, Sanipump Service is already working for a number of pubs and bars across the region and plans to expand its client base to include office blocks.

Sanipump Services covers Leeds, Harrogate, Wakefield, Castleford, Ilkley and Otley.

Mr Summers said that although landlords often have a plumber on their books who deals with the wet facilities, they do not deal with Saniflo units which require a specialist engineer to fix.

He said: “All too often landlords pay out for fitting a new unit when an approved engineer could source the parts to fix it at a fraction of the cost.

“We have had requests to replace units that have simply been blocked with unsuitable items. More often than not the unit can be fixed, cleaned and the services restored in under an hour.”

The wide range of Sanipumps available mean they power large kitchen, shower and toilet facilities in many town and city centre bars, restaurants and offices in addition to bathrooms and kitchens in private houses, particularly in basement and loft conversions.

Mr Summers said Sanipump Services also offers an annual service report which is particularly useful for residential landlords.
