Sheffield-based Bell & Buxton Solicitors says Dax Keeling has been promoted to associate solicitor in recognition of having made a substantial contribution to the firm.

The promotion has been made in the litigation department.

Keeling’s litigation department deals with commercial litigation and also dispute resolution.

Matt Gaskell

iSource Group, an IT, digital and change management recruitment specialist based in Leeds, has promoted Matt Gaskell and Gareth Hammond to associate directors as the business paves the way for future success.

Previously client services manager looking after key client relationships, Gaskell’s new role will see him leading a team of seven and managing the delivery of candidates into key clients for the company.

His focus will be on providing a high level of service at volume across Europe in all areas of IT and IT sales.

Hammond, who has worked at the business for five years, will manage clients, bring in and onboard new accounts and deliver IT roles in senior positions across a range of industries.

He will also support the wider team with advice and guidance to progress talent internally.

Gaskell said: “There is a culture of trust at iSource and this is amplified by the rewards structure that is in place.

“Having secured this promotion, I’m busier than ever. When I’m not in client meetings, I’m working closely with the team on live roles.

“On the operations side of things, I’m making sure we have everything in place to support our clients.

Sheffield building management solutions company BGES Group has promoted Rob Ordish to head of service, leading the group’s support and maintenance division.

In his new role Ordish will have overall responsibility for BG Service, leading a team of building optimisation specialists.

The department provides 24/7 remote and field support to customer buildings, to improve environmental conditions and lower energy consumption.

Ordish joined BGES Group in 2020 as senior project manager, leading projects on the BMS installations side of the business.

He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the building controls industry, including nine years at Demma Controls as operations manager.

Gareth Barber, managing director of BGES Group, said: “During the last year Rob has made a fantastic contribution to BGES Group in his role as senior project manager for BGES Projects – and we are confident he will embrace the new challenge of managing BG Service as it continues to grow.”

A leading name in UK food and farming, Richard Macdonald, has been appointed non-executive chair of Wetherby-based Eden Search & Select – a specialist executive search consultancy focused on the global food supply chain.

Currently deputy chair of the Environment Agency, Macdonald has more than 40 years’ experience in food and farming and an illustrious track record working for some of the biggest names in the industry.

Director general of the NFU from 1996 to 2009, Macdonald is a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society.

He was awarded a CBE in 2002 for services to agriculture and has held numerous non-executive director roles at organisations such as Moy Park, Dairy Crest, NIAB and Farm Africa.
