Charity challenge completed

On Friday a team of 14 featuring members of TheBusinessDesk.com and Yorkshire’s business community swapped their business attire for boots as they headed to the hills to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The walkers who supported by Will4Adventure were looking to complete the 24.5m Yorkshire Three Peak route in under 12 hours as they sought to support the work of the charity, which like many was hit by the challenges of fundraising through last year’s lockdowns.

All team members completed the challenge which includes a total climb of over 5,000ft, comfortably within the 12 hour time frame with the fastest team completing the route in under nine hours.

Donations are still welcome via JustGiving, and to date the event has raised £845 for the charity.

Ben Ormsby, Yorkshire editor at TheBusinessDesk.com said: “Thank you to everyone who took part in the day and well done on completing it comfortably within the 12 hour time frame. The event certainly proved a different but enjoyable way to network and has also raised some money for a fantastic organisation.”
