Long-term lease agreed with building plastics manufacturer
Commercial developer Eshton has pre-let a unit at its Castleford site to Eurocell, which makes, distributes and recycles UPVC window, door, conservatory and roofline systems.
The 15-year lease deal means the 6,000 sq ft unit will become home to Eurocell’s 219th branch in the UK, with the company having already opened 10 new branches this year.
Work began on site at Castleford in March on this unit and an additional 4,000 sq ft building, which Formula One Auto Centres will occupy, one of the UK’s largest independent motorist fast-fit vehicle repair and service providers.
David Singleton, director at Leeds-headquartered Eshton, said: “Eurocell is recognised as the UK’s largest manufacturer and distributer of building plastics, which is reflected in its continual growth and ability to spot new market opportunities.
“By taking this unit at our Castleford site for 15 years without a break clause, Eurocell is demonstrating a long-standing commitment to supporting the West Yorkshire region with new job vacancies and a wealth of services that will contribute to the local economy after such a turbulent time.
“We initially selected the Castleford site for all the potential it offered to ambitious businesses wanting to work out of the area and the calibre of our two tenants has proven our foresight to be accurate.
“We wish both Eurocell and Formula One Auto Centres a truly successful future, and hope they capitalise on all the great things Castleford has to offer.”
