Supercity Aparthotels, which offers luxury serviced apartments, has confirmed a new location in the heart of Leeds.

Due to open in 2023, work will begin this winter to transform the former Jubilee Hotel into a signature new Supercity Aparthotel.

Over the past 12 years, the independently owned and operated group has grown to six properties across London, Manchester and Brighton.

Following the signing of a new site in York earlier this year, the company has further progressed its UK expansion plans with the signing of a prime location on The Headrow, in Leeds city centre.

Alongside redevelopment of the existing Grade II listed former Jubilee Hotel building, the aparthotel will include a new build extension on the corner of East Parade which has been designed to complement the historic surroundings of Leeds Town Hall.

Chairman of Supercity Aparthotels, Roger Walters, said: “Our new property in Leeds will encompass all the hallmarks of a Supercity Aparthotel.

“We have secured a beautiful building in a great location and will tastefully blend the best of old and new as we embark on this project.

“We look forward to bringing our stylish hallmark interiors and warm service to the vibrant city of Leeds.”

Managing director, Philip J Houghton, added: “As one of the UK’s leading providers of serviced apartment hotels, we have continued to invest across all areas of the business which has positioned us strongly to grow and achieve our expansion plans.

“I am particularly proud of the ongoing investment in our people which has been celebrated through our recent Investors in People award.

“Guests and business partners commend our warm and flexible service which we look forward to delivering in Leeds.”
