New Years Eve plans revealed for drink and dining destination

The drink and dining destination Chow Down which this year got a semi permanent home at Temple Arches is set to welcome in 2022 with its biggest celebration to date.

The venue which has quickly become a favourite haunt and over the winter season has offered tens of thousands of guests the chance to celebrate the festive spirit, will next play host to the NYE Big Bash which has been described as “a fitting tribute to all that has gone before”.

Organisers say you should expect a champagne reception, midnight entertainment & performances at the site owned by the property group CEG and sits in the heart of the Temple District.

Matt Long, New Citizens and Chow Down founder noted that the winter season of events has gone quickly and that despite having had “every type of weather thrown at us over the last 8 weeks” its been fantastic to see its offering including Drag Brunches go from strength to strength.

Long added that the team is following all government guidance and appreciate that things can change quickly but emphasised that Chow Down is offering “a great, outdoor safe option for the New Year celebrations”.

The NYE Big Bash will see some of the city’s favourite food traders return including Spuds n Bros with its delicious poutine and Nasi Lemak serving up his Malaysian treats.

Simon Fogal, Leeds Indie Food and Chow Down founder added: “It has been a real pleasure to organise and see the rotating indie street food traders doing so well, still in difficult times and that was one of the main reasons for bringing Chow Down to Leeds.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now at a price £20 which includes an arrival drink and table reservation.
