Tech community continues to grow with new arrival

Conduent UK has made its first move to Leeds, agreeing the lease of c20,000 sq ft of Grade A office space at One Leeds City Office Park.

Real estate services specialist JLL brokered the deal, which will see the digital provider move to this established part of Leeds South Bank.

One Leeds City Office Park has been comprehensively refurbished by Credit Suisse.

Global client services technology firm, Conduent, will employ 240 employees in the Leeds operation having won a substantial new Government contract that will see it work across the UK’s transport and infrastructure system.

Richard Thornton, director of office agency at JLL Leeds, said: “Over the last few years, Leeds has undergone a huge transformation, establishing itself as an innovative and dynamic business hub.

“Now, with one of the fastest growing economies in the UK, it attracts businesses from all over the country looking to benefit from the diversifying talent pool and relative value. Conduent UK is one such business being an ideal occupier for the building.

“Conduent UK has signed a 10-year lease, having been attracted by the size of the floor plates and the proximity to transport links and retail, making it a great location for their employee demographic.”

Jack Sawbridge, head of UK asset management at Credit Suisse, added: “We are delighted to welcome Conduent UK to Leeds City Office Park.

JLL and Lambert Smith Hampton are joint agents on the scheme.
