Global group swoops for Yorkshire-based label manufacturer

Leeds-based label manufacturer, Olympus Print Group, has been acquired by global packaging business All4Labels.

It will become the first subsidiary of All4Labels in the UK.

Olympus Print Group produces labels for a range of markets, with a focus on personal care as well as the wine and spirits and beer industry. The former owners will become co-shareholders of the All4Labels Group and will continue to manage the business.

Law firm Schofield Sweeney advised Olympus Print Group on its acquisition.

Martin Sweeney, partner at Schofield Sweeney, said: “Both businesses have created strong brands that clients trust. The partnership is the perfect vehicle to drive further national and international growth and success, I wish them all the very best.”

Adrian Tippenhauer, CEO, All4Labels said “This transaction represents a new milestone for All4Labels as we will get access to the important and dynamic UK market with a strong partner who can cater existing and future customers with high-quality label solutions.

“The acquisition marks the beginning of our strategy to build a leading business unit in the United Kingdom through investments in organic and acquisitive growth.

“I look forward to working with the Olympus Print Group team on our joint growth and success for many years to come.”

Steve Cartwright, director at Olympus Print Group, added: “After 28 years of building the Olympus brand, we are proud of our reputation for technical expertise, high quality and strong focus on customer service.

“The decision to join a partnership with a global, likeminded and innovative packaging group was made easy as All4Labels shares the same strong values as Olympus Print Group.”

The new partnership with Olympus Print Group is the fifth successful acquisition by the All4Labels Group within the last 12 months.

Schofield Sweeney’s team advising Olympus Print Group were: Martin Sweeney, Steven Millward and Kate Fox – Corporate; Craig Burman – Environmental and regulatory; John Feaster – Private wealth; and Abigail Falshaw – Commercial property.
