‘Final piece of the jigsaw’ as warehouse scheme wins approval

A 131,500 sq ft Sheffield warehouse is to be speculatively developed having received full planning consent.

Newsholme Developments, funded by FTSE 250 listed Urban Logistics REIT, will now bring forward the development of the warehouse which is set for completion in quarter two 2023 and available to let.

The proposed warehouse will be on Newhall Road, as part of the wider Newhall 58 development. M1 Agency has been appointed as marketing agents.

Adam Jones, of Newsholme Developments, said: “The warehouse is set within our established and highly successful Newhall 58 development – being fully occupied – with Newhall 130 forming the final piece of the jigsaw in what we are sure will be a successful conclusion to the scheme.”

John Barker, of Urban Logistics REIT, said: “We are pleased to have structured a deal with Newsholme Developments to bring forward Newhall 130 on a speculative basis delivering a high quality and highly sustainable warehouse.

“Situated on the fringes of Sheffield, yet having excellent access to the M1, the warehouse is a prime addition to our Urban Logistics portfolio. We look forward to the building being delivered and securing an occupier, bringing forward further job creation in the area.”

James Keeton, of agents M1 Agency, added: “It is great news that Newhall 130 has now secured planning consent and we can start on-site with a targeted delivery of quarter two 2023.

“The warehouse offers the perfect blend of prime motorway connectivity, with city centre accessibility and labour supply. We are confident of quickly securing occupier interest.”
