Trade park welcomes its first tenant

Work has completed on a new 10,000 sq ft trade park development in Elland with the first tenant, Screwfix Direct Ltd, due to open its doors in early June.

Developer Rosemount Estates Ltd constructed the units on surplus land at Rosemount Industrial Estate, with the aim of adding modern employment space to its existing offering of refurbished industrial buildings.

Andy Thornton, managing director, said: “These units provide a fantastic addition to our existing portfolio and we’re excited to welcome Screwfix to the development.

“Elland has long-been a sought after location for businesses who benefit from its proximity to several larger West Yorkshire towns as well as easy access to the motorway network via the M62 which is less than a mile from the development.

“We’re pleased to provide more opportunities for companies to benefit from this fantastic location and our investment of over £1m backs up our commitment to the area.”

Construction was overseen by Ben Holden from property consultants TD Jagger Ltd of Mytholmroyd.

The remaining units are being marketed by Ryan Barker of Walker Singleton, who said: “Rosemount Estate has already proven to be a highly popular location and attracting Screwfix as an occupier fully aligns with the developer’s ambitions of creating modern, well designed trade counter units.

“We expect the remaining space to let very quickly.”
