Renewable tech firm opens new office as it expands to another region

Low carbon and renewable technology specialists Green Building Renewables has opened a new office in Doncaster as it continues to expand its network across the region and England.

Green Building Renewables offers renewable technology solutions through its growing network of local energy experts.

It provides air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, Electric vehicle charging, and battery storage.

The Doncaster office on Guildhall Industrial Estate allows the York-based company to expand its offering across South Yorkshire.

The company’s first job in the region, an air source heat pump, solar PV and battery storage system, has already been installed in a home on Whitford Road, Sheffield.

Regional branch manager, Mark Ball, said: “The continuing rise in energy prices coupled with a growing understanding and awareness of the challenges of climate change is persuading more consumers to consider renewable technology in their homes.

“Technology like Tesla Powerwall solar batter storage makes it possible for homeowners to store the sun’s energy captured by solar panels and power their homes and even their electric vehicles.

“The good people of South Yorkshire are no different, and we have already seen an incredible demand for our low carbon and renewable technology in the region since opening.”

As part of its growth plans, the company is actively acquiring like-minded businesses to create the UK’s largest network of local renewable energy experts across mainland Britain.

It now has over 50 staff working across its five offices with over £15m in revenue.

The company’s network now includes offices in York, Doncaster, Daventry, Wellingborough and Colchester and further acquisitions are expected this year.

Managing director, Chris Delaney, said: “We have strong roots in Yorkshire so opening a second office in the region is something we are proud and happy to do.

“Mark and his team can now expand our offering into South Yorkshire and increase the number of people who can help lower their energy bills and reduce their impact on the environment.”

The renewables firm is an Efficient Building Solutions business – committed to tackling the climate and ecological crises by radically improving the UK’s buildings.

Efficient Building Solutions installs low energy technologies and products into residential and commercial buildings across its three businesses: Green Building Renewables, Green Building Store, and QODA Consulting.

Philip Fellowes-Prynne, Efficient Building Solutions CEO, said: “Our mission is to lead the UK’s transformation to efficient, sustainable buildings.

“Opening an office in Doncaster allows people in another region of the country to experience Green Buildings Renewables’ award-winning service by transforming and future-proof their homes.”
