Six-figure funding support helps nursery group launch third site

A nursery group has opened a third site in Wakefield, following a six-figure investment.

Future Einsteins has been providing early years care and education for children aged three months to five years since opening its first location at Outwood in 2000.

In 2018, owner and director Christine Cody-Owen and director Gemma Pidcock launched the nursery’s second site in Churwell to meet growing local demand.

And now, the group has acquired a third premises – College Grove, an existing nursery – to boost access to childcare for parents across West Yorkshire.

Supported by a six-figure loan from Lloyds Bank, the business is now beginning work on a full refurbishment at College Grove.

It will introduce features such as an enhanced sensory room, natural furnishings, and a new outdoor space which will include a mud kitchen and an area for cultivating plants.

Staff office space will also be improved, helping to strengthen the team’s own learning and development opportunities.

College Grove will mirror the facilities at Outwood and Churwell, with the children able to enjoy play areas including gardens and sandpits, alongside football, music and dance coaching.

Cody-Owen and Pidcock said: “It’s so exciting to be able to start work on our third Future Einsteins site.

“We pride ourselves on providing a home-from-home experience for all of our children and are committed to delivering excellent childcare, and with this investment we’ll be able to replicate this at College Grove.

“The support from the team at Lloyds Bank has been invaluable – we were purchasing from the previous owner who was ready to move onto other ventures, but it was key that our shared values were reflected throughout the purchase.

“The process of acquiring the site was complex and we had an excellent team around us.

“Alongside the Lloyds team, we had legal direction led by Keira Rawden of Spencer West, who liaised throughout the whole process with Mark Bardwell from SMH Jolliffe Cork.”

Lara Berry, relationship manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Christine, Gemma and their team are dedicated to giving every child that visits their nurseries the best possible experience – and this ethos has guided the purchase and planning of their new site at College Grove.

“It has been a pleasure to back Future Einsteins throughout this process and support their mission to ensure that as many parents as possible have access to top quality care for their children.”
