Yorkshire editor Andrew Staples said, “Yorkshire and the Humber has many outstanding companies. We want to give as many as possible the chance to have their achievements acknowledged and celebrated.
“Last year’s awards had more than 160 stellar entries. I very much look forward to seeing the entries for this year’s awards – and I do not envy the shortlisting and judging panels who will have to choose between them.
“To be shortlisted for a Business of the Year award is an achievement in its own right. The awards’ predecessor, the Business Masters awards, became justly renowned as a mark of excellence. The new, even more rigorous judging procedure of the Business of the Year awards makes winning a real feather in the cap.”
The awards have 15 categories:
- International Trade
- Community Impact
- Property Business
- Family Business
- Small Business (up to 50 employees)
- Medium Business (51-250 employees)
- Large Business (251+ employees)
- Fast Growth Business
- CEO of the Year
- Employer of the Year
