City centre restaurant and bar to relaunch following £2m makeover

Restaurant Bar & Grill (RBG), in Leeds city centre’s Old Post Office building opposite the railway station, is set to return “bigger, better and bolder” on 20 August.
The £2m revamp has transformed the prominent venue’s interior, terrace and kitchen. A new open-plan layout has created more space and light within the building.
The relaunched RBG has been designed to provide a more impressive setting to enjoy brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as being a great space in which to host private events.
Andrew Garton, CEO at Restaurant Bar & Grill said: “I am delighted to be opening our doors once again, following the refurbishment.
“We’ve had an overwhelming response since we announced the redesign with bookings flying in.
“Leeds has quickly become the flagship of our Restaurant Bar and Grill restaurants, and we can’t wait to welcome guests back this month, especially with our new roster of entertainment and events bringing at touch of theatre to guests dining experience.”
Completion of the renovations will see RBG’s al fresco dining and drinking areas improved.
Weekend entertainment has also been updated to include DJs from 6pm till late on Friday and Saturday evening and an all-new bottomless brunch will be coming to the venue on re-opening.
Installation of a Southbend Steakhouse Grill will allow the brand to take its steak offering to the next level.
RBG will be offering “The Butcher’s Table” for steak lovers. Aimed at groups of six to eight, the experience will be centred around the prime cuts of beef cooked on the Southbend Grill and offers two set menus.
Diners will be in the hands of a dedicated server for the evening, ensuring each group enjoys maximum interaction with the head chef.
The Butchers Table can be tailored to meet the needs of guests, with additional extras such as wine flight packages available.
