Track-day experience seeks to offer businesses the thrill of motorsport

Barnsley-based entrepreneur and racing driver, James Merrills, has launched RaceCompetitions.com, a venture-backed company offering premium track-day experiences.
Debuting at Autosport International 2025 at the Birmingham NEC, the company aims to revolutionise motorsport accessibility for businesses and enthusiasts alike.
Merrills said: “Motorsport is often seen as inaccessible, both in terms of cost and complexity.
“We’re breaking down those barriers by offering bespoke, high-impact corporate events that combine the thrill of motorsport with professional hospitality”.

Race Competitions delivers solutions for businesses seeking team-building, executive retreats, or high-impact client engagement.
Each of its corporate track days offers use of one of 11 UK circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Goodwood.
Clients can also expect a private pit-lane garage with full catering and concierge services, along with professional coaching from race drivers and customised car setups by expert engineers.
The business has secured its first investor and Merrills says it has generated significant interest from others.
He added: “Corporate hospitality is evolving, and businesses are looking for experiences that stand out.
“Race Competitions offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to combine luxury, adrenaline, and professional networking on the track.”
