Workspaces provider expands as it launches riverside location

Flexible workspaces provider, Wizu Workspace, has launched East Coast House, in York.

Its new location is at 25 Skeldergate and features 24,500 sq ft of space.

Ed Harrowsmith, director at property investment and development specialist, Helmsley Group, said: “East Coast House is one of York’s premier office buildings, offering views over the River Ouse in a popular central location.

“As we continue with the development of nearby Coney Street to create a go-to riverside destination, the appeal of this location is set to grow even further and create the ideal locality for the Wizu community.”

Tom Almas, CEO of Wizu Workspace, said: “York has been on our radar for a long time because, quite honestly, people wouldn’t stop asking us to come here.

“We’ve had countless requests from members and businesses who love what we do and want the same experience in this iconic city.

“East Coast House is our answer – offering the flexibility, inspiring design, and hospitality-led service we’re known for, right in the heart of York.”

He added East coast House includes private offices for teams of two to 100 plus, a co-working space, meeting rooms with video conferencing provision, and virtual office packages.

The deal for the building was completed with Dan Suggitt of Polestar Asset Management and Olivia McDowell of Habitec advising Wizu, while James Bradley from legal firm Knights PLC acted on behalf of the Helmsley Group.

East Coast House is set to open fully in summer 2025.
