Dealership looks to drive ahead

A £1m state-of-the-art Range Rover and Land Rover dealership – the largest for the brands in the UK – has opened in Yorkshire.

John Edwards, Land Rover’s global brand director, officially launched the new Farnell Leeds dealership, in Whitehouse Street.

Part of The Co-operative Motor Group, the operation site has created eight new roles and has an indoor space to display more than 25 cars.

It also boasts a separate dedicated indoor approved used vehicles showroom.

Other highlights include a dedicated workshop with new MOT and tyre fitting facilities. There is also a dedicated children’s play area with a Sony PS3.

The showroom will be one of the first to deliver the Range Rover Ultimate model.

Land RoverJatinder Aujla, group operations manager, said: “Farnell was one of the world’s first ever Land Rover dealers and now we have this magnificent facility to add to our sites in Guiseley and Bradford.

“2011 has been very successful for Farnell and next year we aim to deliver more than 1,200 vehicles from this site, making it one of the most successful Range Rover/Land Rover dealerships in the UK.”
